Music To Use

I recently stumbled upon this site. It could work wonders if you are into short film making or you want to chill to some righteous background music while getting some work done. I highly recommend that you venture over and see what's up. I'm currently grooving to some sweet jazz by V.S. & Fisher....

John Frusciante & Omar Rodriguez-Lopez - 0=2

John Frusciante, formerly of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, & Omar Rodriguez-Lopez of the Mars Volta collaborated to create an album. This is one of my favorite songs from it.

Sound (Part II)

This is the second part of the film Sound. Further discussing the topic of what really constitutes the idea of music. Here's some questions to ponder; Sounds are just vibrations right? So what kinds of vibrations are musical and what kinds aren't? What do you think? Is a sound a blessing?

Sound (Part I)

Explore the furthest reaches of sound. Music is meant to be free from borders and boundaries. We are asked if all noises could be considered music. I say yes. Why is it so difficult for some people to listen? It's been my experience that many individuals simply hear music, while there are those of us that actually listen and experience it. Look into the work of John Cage, David Tudor & Rahsaan Roland Kirk if this interest you. These are the early beginnings of Experimental Music. Enjoy.

Gorillaz - Tomorrow Comes Today

This is from the self-titled Gorillaz album. As one of my best friends would say, this is excellent thinking music.  You all should also check out Demon Days, Laika Come Home, & Plastic Beach by Gorillaz. They are each amazing albums.
